"I love helping my patients develop the tools they need to cope with all of life’s challenges."
Compassionate therapy for life’s complexities, rooted in deep care and committed to helping individuals and couples heal, grow, and connect
Professional Background
Hello, and thank you for visiting. I’m Dr. Mary Toolan, a Licensed Psychologist and certified School Psychologist with over two decades of experience helping individuals and couples find clarity, relief, and deeper connection through talk therapy. My practice is grounded in empathy, deep listening, and a strong understanding of the complexities of life and relationships.

I work with adolescents, adults and couples facing a range of emotional challenges—from anxiety, depression, and grief to life transitions, relationship concerns, and school-related stress. Whether you’re navigating a specific event or feeling overwhelmed by something harder to name, I’m here to help you move forward with insight and care.

At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is a collaborative process. I bring my clinical knowledge and more importantly, my compassionate presence to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered on your path toward healing, growth, and self-awareness.
Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based and psychodynamic methods, including CBT, DBT, psychoanalysis, and systems-based couples therapy. I tailor our work to your needs, whether that means practical tools for today or deeper understanding for lasting change and ongoing growth.
